Heyoka

Heyoka

Heyoka is a shepherd cross who came to rescue from a native american reservation in South Dakota. A heyoka in Lakota mythology is a sacred clown who does things unconventionally. Clown is a good word for Heyoka, as he is a funny little boy, but he isn’t contrary at all, just young.

The additional picture was taken October 3, 2015.  Heyoka came back to rescue due to circumstances beyond his control.  He grew into a handsome boy, though he’s still a bit of a puppy mentally.  We’re sure he’ll find a wonderful forever home soon.
